Dr Jim Ryan has been practicing in Callan for over 20 years. He graduated at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and completed his General Practice training on the Dublin Regional Vocational Training Scheme. He has completed further education with Diplomas in Clinical Psychiatry, Women's Health and in Child Health. In 1998 he completed a Masters in Sports Medicine, and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Dr Ryan has been teaching Undergraduate medical students for almost 25 years, and is currently Adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Dept of General Practice at the Graduate Medical Entry School in the University Of Limerick.
Building a comprehensive, quality, inclusive, family practice for the people of Callan and their families is a key part of Dr Ryan's professional ambition. He has special interest in Sports medicine, Joint Injections, Cryotherapy, Nail Surgery and Exercise Rehabilitation.
Dr Ryan works as a medical officer with the Exwell Programme.

Emma graduated from NUI Galway in 2006 and completed her specialist GP training with the Western Training Scheme.
Emma has completed further diplomas in Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics + Women's Health, Musculoskeletal medicine and Dermatology. Her areas of special interest includes Women's health, menopause, dermatology and dermoscopy.
Emma is experienced in family planning including insertion and removal of implanons and mirena coil.
Gina qualified with honours from University College Dublin in 2012 and interned in Mater Misericordiae Hospital Dublin.
She completed her specialist GP training on the Dublin Mid Leinster Scheme. During this time she worked in several hospitals in Dublin including St James Hospital, St Vincent’s University Hospital, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, Blackrock hospice and Cluain Mhuire Psychiatry. She was awarded a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Gina is a registered cervical smeartaker and experienced in Implanon insertion and removal.
She has previously worked in GP practices in Bray, Co Wicklow and Gorey Co. Wexford
She is originally from Kilkenny and joined the practice in 2018
Fay qualified as an RGN in the Mater Hospital. Fay has a Diploma in General Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons, a Certificate in Critical Care from the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and a Certificate in Accident & Emergency Care from the Mater Misericordiae Hospital. She is a highly experienced practice nurse, having worked in General Practice since 2005. Special interest in Diabetic Care, Chronic Disease Management, Cervical Screening, Childhood Immunisation and Travel Health.
Susan qualified as an RGN in 1997 from the Adelaide Hospital, Dublin. She ten worked in Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross, before going on to complete her Midwifery studies in The Coombe Women's Hospital in 2001. She has been working as a Practice Nurse since then, and continues with Professional Development courses. Her special interests are Health Screening, Chronic Disease Management, Cervical Screening and Childhood Vaccinations.
